Clepsydra | Contamination. Lexus. Art. Design.

Imagining the future. Design for a better Tomorrow. “ONY” is an installation. “Rewind” is an anti-senility project. “Alto” is a lighthearted idea for automotive… Does that seem like a small thing…?! All of this is called Lexus, a way of existing in the future present, which is the only thing that can save the present – present and memorize the present – past. A singular way of working in a system of form and content, without flaws, without cracks, in a process from conception to design, to realisation, with continuous checks for compatibility and quality, with an eye towards supply, to turn it into demand, conceiving an effect of desirability, light, capable of not settling anywhere, but able to form a module, of a chain that is not a dull link, but a transmission of quality, imagining a 'quid' that doesn't exist, but in our time, is increasingly capable of making chimeras come true.

It is no longer science fiction, but proto-science of what will be, when vertical take-off and landing will be helicopter cars for everyone. The important thing is that design, technology, robotics, and cybernetics do not forget that at the centre there must always be a man, a woman, an old person, a child, a sick person, and that beauty and pleasantness are the attributes of a welcoming theory. I like this Milan Design Week, which is not a showcase of the fairest in the land, but a window/laboratory, where there are no utopias, hallucinations, or ramblings, but a dialectic of science and technology, bound by a solidarity pact, where the chronological factor is not an end in itself, but with the strength of the strong, an instrumentum iudica.
