CIRO
Palumbo

In his quest, he moves through moments of contemplation and metaphysical silence, contrasted by nocturnal and intimately troubled expressiveness, where the detachment from the silent immobility that inhabits the canvases of the Pictor Optimus is clearly breathed.

The Artist

Born in Zurich in 1965. Their artistic journey begins with the poetry of the Metaphysical school of Giorgio de Chirico and Alberto Savinio, yet reinterprets its foundations according to a completely original, personal interpretation.
His works therefore present themselves as stages in which the objects present are bearers of dreamlike symbolism.

Ciro Palumbo is not just a painter, but in fact a poet who reflects, acts and composes to combine metaphors about the elusiveness of time and the immeasurability of space, thus showing his ability to deepen the observation not so much of nature, as of the imaginative impressions that come from memory.

A curious researcher and scholar, for some years he has also been working on the theme of Myth, interpreting classical mythology in a decidedly modern key, and giving it a profoundly learned and evocative reading. The artist thus manages to sublimate and contextualise ancient myths in timeless spaces, demonstrating their contemporaneity.
