An artist-engineer's path soon led her to a crossroads. Her move to Rome in 2012 marked a significant change. The ongoing struggle between dreams and logic led her to lead an energetic life, characterised by constant metamorphosis, strengthened by her meeting with the President of the Giorgio and Isa De Chirico Foundation, Prof. Paolo Picozza, with whom, in December 2016, she organised her first solo exhibition.

From then on, they decided to dedicate themselves completely to their deepest passion: art.
Another angel encountered on her path is Marina Mattei, an archaeological curator at the Capitoline Museums, a figure who soon becomes both a mentor and a friend. In 2017, she began living between Rome and Salerno, alternating the energy of the Amalfi Coast with the powerful charge of Rome. Since then, she has started participating in exhibitions to open herself up to dialogue with other artists and to constant engagement with the public, embracing challenges that vary in form and content.

She has exhibited in Florence, Genoa, L'Aquila, La Spezia, Mantua, Milan, Olbia, Palermo, Poltu Quatu, Porto Rotondo, Rome, Sorrento, Turin, Venice, Barcelona, Bruges, and Paris. She moved again to L'Aquila in 2019, where she had the pleasure of collaborating with maestro Raimondo Tiberio, thus approaching the world of sculpture. In the midst of the pandemic, in April 2020, she moved to Sardinia, where she still lives today. The energy of these territories is so intense that it allows her to approach something more material; to the ropes of her paintings, she adds installations of nautical ropes, and so her first textile sculpture won first prize in August at the IV edition of “Le Quai Des Artistes” in Porto Rotondo, strongly desired by Count Luigi Doná dalle Rose with his foundation. From then on, she continued to work on her series of textile sculptures, made from discarded nautical ropes. These works of art are a testament to her love for the planet, focusing on environmental themes and seeking to involve the public, organisations, and institutions that can contribute to safeguarding what is most precious to us: the Earth, our home.

His work has an existentialist foundation. The peak serves as a symbolic and expressive element that encapsulates the entirety of his artistic exploration. The peak symbolises the bonds that form part of every person’s existence. The rope follows the law of the logarithmic spiral, a structure found everywhere in nature, from DNA to galaxies. On a purely formal level, the rope is linked to the Fibonacci sequence, which expresses the concept of beauty and harmony. As a salvaged rope, the rope tells a story; it carries with it the energy of the hands that have caressed or tugged at it, and the scent of the seas it has sailed. The rope tells stories of bonds, of the superstructures and the tangled threads of the human unconscious that are never untangled. Bonds such as individual constraints, but also the totality of the superstructures that mean an individual’s choices are continually and inevitably shaped by place, historical period, culture and religion. Whether or not one is aware of them determines their value within each person’s experience. The interweaving of knots represents the “self” of each individual, which reconnects with the “Whole”. Hence the connection with nature, which becomes a central theme, also encompassing the world of sustainability. Thus, sustainability becomes the watchword. Art has always questioned the present moment; it tells of changes and revolutions, sometimes even anticipating them. The artist believes that, today, art cannot fail to address the climate crisis. He believes in a project that awakens social consciousness. Every year, tonnes of synthetic textile fibres are disposed of and, in the worst cases, dumped on the seabed, damaging Posidonia and all marine species. She believes that art speaks through emotions, which is why the message it conveys will always be very powerful. The textile sculptures are, in fact, made from recycled ropes, thus encapsulating the essence of her research: existentialism, nature and sustainability.
