The work

In Teste, the new liberty designer Andrea De Luca proposes a vibrant contemporary reinterpretation of the decorative and expressive language of the Art Nouveau/Liberty style.

The work is dominated by the intersection of two human profiles that blend together in the center of the composition, framed by thick black contours with a strong graphic and material impact. The arms extended upward form an arc that encloses the figures, while stylized floral and vegetable motifs climb along the edges, recalling the early-nineteenth-century floral aesthetic but reinterpreted with an absolutely contemporary and synthetic sensibility.

The chromatic contrast is powerful and decisive: a warm and vibrant orange field on the background creates a geometric pattern on which the ochre, green and black tones stand out, interrupted by the brightness of the surrounding background. Between figurative abstraction and historical memory, De Luca celebrates the beauty of line and the human body, offering a poetic reflection on expressive freedom and the continuity of forms in contemporary art.
A work of great visual and decorative power, ideal for enriching collections that value the dialogue between contemporary avant-garde and historical citationism.
