The work
Abstraction allows De Luca to overcome recognizable representation to focus on the memory, perception, and emotional dimension of the image. The elements reminiscent of trees and branches seem to develop in space as traces of an inner landscape, creating a continuous dialogue between what belongs to reality and what arises from the imagination. The composition thus takes on an almost narrative dimension, in which each form can be read as a presence, a memory, or an impression.
