A Boy belongs to the series of charcoal and tempera drawings on butcher paper made during the pandemic period. The figure of a lonely boy becomes an image of a generation suspended in time. The body, isolated in space, tells through its immobility the distance from others, the silence and the melancholy of the pandemic years. An apparently simple scene transforms into a reflection on loneliness and the need for connection.<\/p>\n
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Andrea De Luca developed a series of illustrative works dedicated to the theme of distance, connection, and relational fragility that emerged during the months of collective isolation. The series of works on butcher paper reflect on human bonds and the need to maintain emotional connections even in a state of physical separation. The works created during Covid transform architectural symbols, hybrid figures, and visionary scenarios into metaphors of the contemporary condition, evoking an imaginary suspended between restlessness and hope. In this pandemic production, the will to recover a sense of community and human continuity is strongly evident, entrusting the image with the task of symbolically repairing the distances imposed by the reality of the time.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
