Giuliano Lunelli prefers the use of oil painting on canvas, a technique that allows him to explore the potential of illusion and to create a reality made up of objects that are only seemingly inanimate, suspended in a time that is dilated and indefinite.

Her works are born from the observation of everyday objects presented in unexpected contexts, creating new meanings. These are not simple objective representations, but compositions that stimulate reflection on the perception of time and reality.

Through his works, the artist seems to urge the observer to reflect on the frenetic pace of the contemporary world, dominated by a fast-paced time that tends to consume our lives. Painting, therefore, becomes for the artist an act of resistance to this speed: a gesture that requires slowness and patience.

His still-life paintings stand out for their ability to transform ordinary objects into something extraordinary, revealing how the familiar can take on new meanings in unusual contexts.

A glass, a fruit, or a general object, decontextualized, acquire a symbolic and poetic value. These seemingly insignificant objects become protagonists of a silent narrative, where the arrangement and representation invite the observer to transcend the obviousness.

The familiarity of these objects is questioned: what is known transforms into mystery, and everyday life becomes a field of visual exploration.

The compositions by Giuliano Lunelli open up a dimension suspended between the real and the imaginary, in which every element is imbued with a deeper meaning: slowing down, observing, and rediscovering the beauty hidden in the small things.

The artist’s painting transforms into an invitation to reconnect with the surrounding world, educating the eye to the wonder of everyday life. Art, in this perspective, is not just representation, but a means to rediscover the time, the calm, and the beauty of the often overlooked details.
